Vincenzo Guglietta, in 1997, after a lot of years spent to dance on the dance floors of Latina and of Rome, feels a deep unsatisfaction: he is a dancer who interprets the music in a very particular way. Infact he doesn’t mix figures but he follows the rythms and the swing,and it’s very difficult to find the taste of the dance in the dance halls which proposes only commercial selection, and often the same music, evening after evening. So he proposes himself like dj, thinking to can offer to the dancers musical selections less monotonous and major quality. His choice is appreciated very soon: he gets in his field the nickname of “moving jay” thanks to the fact that, during the evenings organized by him, it’s impossible to rest immobile on the dance floor. Since this moment he has always animated the night of “Salsa” in the Latina province, working in locals of different nature from the multilhalls disco to the disco pub, always with a great engagement and guaranteeing the amusement to the dancers. Same places are: the “Oasis” in Sperlonga,” “la Tropical” in Latina, the hall “Heaven”, ”24000baci” in Latina, the “Tanaliberatutti” in Nettuno, ”Sea Breeze” in Gaeta, the “Fortino” in Sperlonga,the “Cancun” in Latina, the “Besame Mucho” in Latina, the “Bandiera Gialla” in Gaeta, the “Sombrero” in Sperlonga and others little and big halls. So he has a good experience of different dance floors and he is able to differentiate his musical proposals according to the kind and the quality of dancer. In the last 20 years he does a jump of quality and the recognition of the great public: the management of the artistic direction of a local situated in Sperlonga the “Don Carlos”which imposes as event of the summer “el sabado de la salsa”: evenings with show, cuban animation and events. Another success is the summer of “Palacavicchi”of Rome with an own evening on Thursday and in console with another dj on Friday.The “Metropolis” of Pomezia, a classic of salsa present in the area. His participation to the international meetings “Baila conmigo”, and to same events of Kermesse Salsera give him the recognition of the municipality of Rome and of Lazio region for the contribution given to the diffusion of latin-american music, culture, and dance. On Sunday at the “Heaven” of Rome, there is a particular night for lovers with musical selections of high quality which is meeting a notable success among appassionates and it is a little the realization of Paco’s dream: to emancipate oneself from the commercial music proprosing doc music spacing among various styles and rythms – Cuba, Puertorico, Colombia, New York, Miami and ect.
